Thread: An On-Call what to do

Five minutes before the office leaves for the day they call me out for a no cool. I get all set and head out to the call, arrive to the home and get a puzzled look on the home owners face. We didn't call, as you can see our a/c is fine. Call back to the service and sure enough I am at the right address. Came back home and figured that was the easiest on call pay I ever recieved.

some one called and some one got the wrong address - you will be going out sometime later or some one will try to give you an ear full on monday.

What's wrong with someone that can fix your a/c AND your toilet??? I'd think that's a plus....

I'll jump in on this with another story that happened to one of our other guys this week while on call.
12:45 AM
Lady; My sump pumps not working and the water is coming up in my basement
Guy: Will cost you $XXX, You sure you want me to come out?
Lady; Yes, come on out
Guy: Ok, Is your number out on your mailbox?
Lady: Yes, I'd turn the light on for you but my electricity is off.
(long pause)
Guy: Your electricity is off?
(long pause)
Lady: Do you have a generator?
Guy: "click"
