Adding charcoal
So I was thinking about cooking ribs on the grill but my problem is trying to figure out How I would go about adding more charcoal to it since my grill grate is all one piece and my lid is hinged and does not come off. I thought about cutting my grate in half so that I can leave one side open to pour new charcoal in to and the other side would have the half grate on it for the ribs.

Im like a mushroom, they keep me in the dark and feed me crap.

That would work-just make sure you have enough strength in the remaining grate that it wont buckle if you put a big ol pork shoulder on it. Thats why i went with a smoker that has a side firebox. I got tired of moving the meat to add charcoal and wood chunks.
