51 Seconds to 500 Microns
I have been watching all of the threads on vacuum for awhile and decided to put together a vacuum kit that contains all of the correct hoses, core tools and fittings to get the job done right. Made a video of the process. Let me know what you think.
Thanks
Jim

That's quite a setup. What size vacuum pump are you using?

That was a Robinair 5 CFM pump. For that system (2.5 ton) a 3 CFM pump would have been adequate and done about the same. Maybe 10 to 20 seconds longer.

Thanks, Jim for taking the time to make the video and post it here.
Maybe it will create a few converts to doing things the RIGHT way.

I love it. JP, don't you have a bluvac? Do you have an lte or just the bluvac? What's the difference?

Nice video Jim, but you need to sell your friend a set of digitals. LOL

I tested the BluVac and wrote a review on it for another organization. I do not own one, currently, although I'm just biding my time and working OT to pay for all of it.
Given the accuracy of the BluVac, I'll need to replace my entire evacuation rig at the same time, so it turns into a hefty bill.
From what I understand, the BluVac is the full-featured model. Temperature sensor, 0.1 micron resolution and a few other bells and whistles. The LTE gives up a few features to save dollars, but they use the same sensor and have the same accuracy.
