    Confused PPCL program help!

    Im writing a PPCL program to calculate Humidex using outside air and humidity. Im having problems with the power function command/arithmetic operator for 10^, does any one know the correct command

    Formula:
    e = vapour pressure(6.112 x 10^(7.5 x T/(237.7 + T)) x H/100)
    T= air temperature (degrees Celsius)
    H= humidity (%)
    Humidex = T + 5/9 x (e - 10)

    Tsasso,
    try this;

    00010 PT1 =(6.112 * 10 .ROOT. (1/(7.5 * DEGC /(237.7 + DEGC))) * HUM / 100)
    00020 HUMIDEX = DEGC + 5/9 * (PT1 - 10)

    To raise a number to the power of another you use the command .ROOT. with a twist.

    10^4 = 10000 right

    in PPCL you would write the following line

    00010 PT1 = (10 .ROOT. (1/4))

    Happy programming
