I'm trying to understand a specific part of the document. As usual with government documents, there seems to room for interpretation.

Specifically 82.166(k), "leak record keeping with appliances that contain more than 50 pounds of refrigerant". I'm questioning, for instance, if a rooftop unit with say 2 separate compressor circuits each containing 26 lbs, would be considered an appliance containing more than 50 lbs. Or would you look at each circuit individually?

Anyone faced this, and how are you handling it? Has anyone seen any regulation that addresses it.

Thanks, I know this is not a very interesting topic, sorry.

The complete unit holds more than 50 pounds. No question about it. I had the priviledge of setting up EPA CFC compliance programs for two airports. Once your program is in place, it is easy to manage and update.
