I have a Weather King HVAC unit inside my condo. Where the conditioned air leaves the unit, the duct work, there is substantial fan noise. I measured it at around 70db.

If I wrap the duct work with duct insulation, can I expect a measureable reduction in noise?

    Thanks for any help.

The proper thing to do is have a reputable contractor look at it. Make sure they check static pressure, cfm's...etc.
Imagine trying to breathe thru a straw, your air handler/furnace could be trying to do the same thing which will result in pre-mature failure.
