    TRY YOUR TONGUE ITS THE CHEAPEST. IF NOT THAT ,TRY COOPER DIGITAL WITH PIPE STRAP.

    There is no special device for measuring superheat. Superheat is simply the difference between two temperatures.

    thermometer: A digital or mercury. Seems to do the trick
    It's All Good!!!

    my choice of instrument

    I use the clamp on accessory for my fluke multimeter and it fits up to 1 3/8" copper tubing. Great for both subcooling and superheat readings.

    Have both cooper and fluke ,cooper seems to have much more reliable thermocouples also had a weiss its a little cheaper in price but just as good as a fluke 16 0r 52.

    where do you measure super heat and sub cooling?

    suction line for superheat and liquid line for subcooling as close to where you are getting your pressure readings.
