I was up in my 120+ degree attic and I noticed that my Trane VS air handler's cabinet was hot to the touch. Would using a radiant barrier on top of the AH make it stay any cooler? Everything is good with the AC system, and I'm sure Tranes can handle the heat. But if the cabinet were cooler, wouldn't it run more efficiently?

I know, too much time on my hands...

Have a radient barrier sprayed on the underside of the roof, cool the whole attic down.
If more government is the answer, then it's a really stupid question.
