I'm looking to buy my first micron vacuum gauge and would like you guys opinions before I take that leap. Which is the best bang for the buck? They're fairly expensive so I would like to make the right purchase the first time...

Been posted already
there's two pages on this already, check down towards the bottom.
Personally I'll take the Ritchie "Yellow Jacket" #69075 for the digital or the old reliable Thermal Engineering #14571 dual powered for the analog or dial style.
For small and portable the Robinair #14777 is very nice, but the cord connection has been a problem for us in the classroom. Easily fixed with a new plug from Radio Shack. I still haven't figured out a way to prevent them from growing legs and walking out of the shop.keep your ice cold and flame hot
