Trane uv light.
I saw in the trane flyer the Hyperion units can come with uv lights installed and the units are made to withstand the uv rays. Does anyone know anything about the trane uv kit BAYUVCLK001, is it only available from factory already installed or can I buy and install into my existing Hyperion tam7 unit.

Long story short, it looks like a PITA to install!

Have you had any luck finding or installing the BAYUVCLK001. I found the installation manual online and it didn't look to complex, just install, plug and play.
I have a Hyperion that is emitting odor from coil contamination and I am looking for a UV installation kit/recommendation. I'm getting the impression the Trane is not supporting the kit any longer??? I haven't contacted a professional yet. Just doing the research. BDCooper

Well I priced it and it was almost as expensive as clean effects kit, Crazy considering uv lights only last 1 year before output is greatly reduced. Didn't bother checking availability after found out cost.

Found the Trane UV light kit (locally). Expensive, but was able to purchase from a Trane HVAC installer for 3-4 hundred less than buying from Trane parts warehouse. I feel it was worth the premium to get the design benefits of a kit specifically for the Hyperion. Installation was straight forward. Followed instructions, took my time and it seems to have eliminated the odor. Also cleaned/treated coil with bacteria killing solution (BBJ C-1 Antimicrobial).
