    Happens to Lennox all the time... especially because blades are made so damn thin anymore....a little shake to it and the tops crack....
    It's all about heat transfer...

    I've installed new fan grills on Carriers when they cracked welds.
    Same sort of problem, different design.

    Fortunately we didn't have to fix it. They stole the indoor so the whole works gets replaced. Foreclosed home.
