The old servers will be changing over in just a short while. This should bring us better speed and less down time. The servers will be "in house" so to speak and Penton Media will have fun playing with them for sure.

Yes, during a move like this there may be a few glitches or a bit of a snag on some links or features but rest assured all items will be handled with the up most speed.

At 12:15 PM I was in the midst of posting....I'd just did a preview and clicked on submit and got the server maintenance screen. I came back a couple of times in the next two hours....still down. Then at 2:15 it was back so I re-did my post, submitted it and the time came up as 12:15 PM. It was a Rod Serling moment.

The last part of your post is a bit garbled.... I suppose there's another glitch in the system, huh?

We are back up and running!! Accordding to the IT folks the transition went very smoothly. Yeah-- they started late but the total downtime was a mere 1.5 hours!! WooHoo!!

There may be a few missing posts, but that is all. So rummage around, kick the tires, and let us know what breaks, what doesn't and then have fun!!

Hope everyone had a great 4th and now it's time to kick out the hangovers and get back to work. Oh my aching head!!
