Damn kids.....when I was their age we had ....well...bottlerockets, snakes, firecrackers, well, I guess it was the same!
My neighborhood is all lit up and popping!!!!!!!!!
I don't even need to buy anything!!!
Happy Independence Day to ALL!!!!!
Over here we do that stuff on 31 December/1 January.
The big[ger] stuff is illegal, but we live close to the Belgium border and they will sell it to us, no problem.
Sometimes you have to duck for flying fingers

When I was a kid I had an uncle on the Albany Police force.
Every 4th he would bring out a crap load of confiscated fireworks and fire off at my aunt's camp on Crooked Lake.
Back then they didn't have all these public fireworks displays. A bunch of people worked for the railroad, so every street was lit up with red flares.

What I used to do is have my handheld scanner with me during our illegal fireworks back home. Just wanted to make sure we weren't gonna get a visit and if we were, to prepare for it!
Now Indiana legalized the stuff though some of what my friend fired in my pictures came from a commercial source.
