On the ground I hit the ceiling grid (no tiles in yet)with a piece of pipe
looked up to see what happened and got speared by one of the pieces of grid, slicing open my lower eyelid
only 6 stitches!!!
And for those of you who are wondering, no damage to ceiling grid.

Our apprentice had an accident yesterday also. He was trying to get a tube of fire stop caulk to work. He was looking down the barrel while squeezing the trigger. When it let go it got him right in the eye. Nothing serious. The hospital just flushed it out. Glad we were able to locate the MSDS on the stuff. It gives me peace of mind.
Of course Otis is going to get a lot of kidding. I guess he never took the hunters safty course.

I hate wearing glasses but instances like these make me glad I do. I can't count how many times my glasses have saved my eyes from an accident.
