Thats one of those start from scratch, time and material gigs right there.
"Better tell the sandman to stay away, because we're gonna be workin on this one all night."

"Dude, you need more than 2 wires to a condenser to run a 2 stage heatpump."

    "Just get it done son."

Thats what you get for asking for an interesting service call. :-)

So is the homeowner gonna have you fix it up?

He claims he is going to, everytime I work on it I make a material list and never hear back lol, he knows it won't be cheap. The installer used the boiler for low and high temp, instead of a mixing valve he used the tap for the water maker to run the fin tube. Since that's priority I had a fun time figuring out why I couldn't get a zone to heat ha ha.

He wanted fast, would hire him again, but wants YOU to re-pipe it? Why not just call speedy back???

He wants me to repipe it so he can sell the house, he's one of them people with money with a big mouth, the other guy isn't capable of even doing it right. He makes the hacks around here look like they do quality work. I'd bet he wont have me do it, to cheap.

He already got hosed (no pun intended) by going cheap. He's gonna take that risk again!

    Beautiful, just beautiful.

I thought I had seen the ugliest boiler jobs, but I guess not.

Doesnt it disgust you too? Im sick of having to tell the customer "sorry but you got screwed, now I have to do this or that to fix it". I see this crap alot.
