    Need some advice/help here-
I got my refrigeration license through the NYFD months ago now, and still have no luck finding a job- Can't seem to find any job listings anywhere. It's been a matter of blindly applying to different hospitals/residential/commercial buildings that have units over fifty tons, and hoping for an opening. The unions are no help, naturally they don't have job listings themselves.
I live in NY, but am definitely willing to relocate for the right job- If anyone knows of any service I can use, headhunter, whatever, or has any info that might help point me in the right direction, I'd be very grateful.
Love the site, by the way- Tons of great info. I'll be back here often.
    Thanks!!

Hit the trade shows and rub elbows with everyone that will listen to you for 5 minutes. There is one in Baltimore this September... the add pops up on the main page here. Just refresh your screen and look for it.

Call the warehouse vendors and check on their boards and ask them when the next school of any ice maker or refrigeration or AC unit will be.

Ask their counter guys who has the best techs and who is happy with the company.

Go to these schools to learn but to rub elbows...

...sometimes it is not what you know but who.
