    Vision Pro 8000 Setting 220

My HVAC guys finally have just finished up tying my hot water boiler and heat pump together so that the heatpump in heating mode runs above 40 degrees and the gas hot water below 40 degrees. This had been working correctly but the reversing valve would not switch to allow AC. So they have finished up after having to add an isolation relay. All background.

I noticed the setting value for 220 was changed from 3 to 5 (1st Stage compressor cycle rate). What does this setting do (I think it goes from 0 to 6)??? I think these are all called "comfort setting" but how do I know if this is better or worse??

it pretty much sets the cycles per hour (cph) ( I set them @ 4), to each his own

5 is too high for a heat pump. Generally use 3 around here.

What are the cycles per hour a measurement of??? Is it the number of times the compressor is allowed to run per hour???

The heat pump is turned off at 40F and the gas hot water is used. I know above 40F the heat pump is very efficient. From a cost factor, the electric rate around here is over twice the gas rate. So I'm trying to be as efficient as possible.

Heat pump is still probably cheaper then gas at 30.

CPH is a digital heat anticipation. Helps to minimize temp over shoot.
