    Fresh air intake?

Found this after a couple calls of No Heat that reset itself. Roofers covered the intake with asphalt and broke the fitting. I had to replace the whole concentric vent.

Ahh roofers. The killer of 90's since home owners found out they can go through the roof.
"Better tell the sandman to stay away, because we're gonna be workin on this one all night."

"Dude, you need more than 2 wires to a condenser to run a 2 stage heatpump."

    "Just get it done son."

Years ago I found a really creative one on a Lennox Pulse furnace.

The roofers cut the "pipe" so they could slide a new rubber flashing over it.
The only problem is that the "pipe" was a concentric roof vent.
To "fix" it they stuffed an empty tube of caulk into the middle exhaust part as a splice for the 2 sections, then carefully caulked around the outside with white silicon caulk.

The roof was replaced in the spring, so the problem didn't present itself until 8 months later. The roofing company actually tried to deny that they had done the deed...
If more government is the answer, then it's a really stupid question.

I once had roofers that cut the concentric and coupled it together on the roof. It was on a Pulse furnace. The intake was choked from the coupling and got very little air in it.

We just had a a Roofer put a screw into the liquid line of a Big R-22 Fridge holding alot of Freon. I love Roofers. I seen em cut the gas pipe with the axe and then dump Tar on the pipe to stop it from leaking. Get the Call guys freaking "I cut the pipe come quick" calls back 5 min later all calm No worries I fixed it LOL

You guys glue the tops on the concentric? I either just shove it on there or put a screw thru it.
