    Trouble Brewing in Europe

Europe's "most centralized, state-dominated economy" will probably elect a more socialist government on Sunday, May 6, with a 51% to 49% result in favor of the socialist candidate, Francois Hollande.

The market is watching the situation closely. Imagine that.
The first indication he actually starts pushing back austerity the market will react. I read earlier that the situation in Greece, Italy, Spain, France, England .....you know all of the socialist failures that should be an indication to people like you that that style government is a miserable failure....... is so bad even the hard core Socialist dont have a choice but to extend austerity measures.

Why would people elect a candidate who believes in the same political system that led to their demise ?

Obama's advice to Hollande: Don't raise taxes and increase spending. You might damage the world economy.

Basically If they tax and redistribute the money in France more money would stay in the country, the lower the income the more is spent on necessities. The wealthy have more opportunity to spend the money in ways with it leaving the country (to the U.S perhaps). It would harm the U.S. if the money only stayed on that side of the pond.
