I am confused by the information I am getting from a couple of contractors with regards to which furnace to install. We are getting just the gas furnace replaced - reason is that an extension has been added to the house so need to go to a larger unit. No budget to do a more complete replacement so upgrading to infinity is not an option.

The existing system controlled by a ComfortZone™ II controller and super-dehumidification is enabled.

One contractor has recommending a Performance 96 (58UVB) - he claims that it is currently the most economical model available which supports super-dehumidification mode.

The other contractor is recommending the new Series 2 Performance 96 (59TP5). He claims it will dehumidify just as well as the older 58UVB plus costs significantly less, is easier to service and uses less gas.

Question is - Which current models have support for ComfortZone II Super-dehumidification?

Thanks!
