If laundry room is in house- look for a floor drain. Pretty common for these to be dry. Pour some water down the FD & see what happens. Here- trap primers are required on many floor drains. Keeps trap full of water & no sewer gasses.
Always drink upstream from the herd

Odor is pointing us towards drywall outgassing. Will know next week from a lab if it is bad Chinese drywall or bad domestic drywall. I have heard there is a paint (like Kilz) that can eliminate the outgassing by acting as a vapor barrier. Anyone out there know of such a thing? Looking forward to some feedback. Thanks.
