You may have a restriction between your condenser and the sightglass. Clogged drier, maybe?

High head - might be caused by non-condensables.. Lack of air flow/heat transfer at condenser.. If TXV is either open- suction would be high and head low, closed- suction low and head low.. If you have the wrong refrigerant or mixed refrigerant it could cause head press problems as well as other problems..

Wow...there are so many variables that can cause a high head pressure and we don't have any details on what's going on. Plugged condenser coil, bad condenser fan motor, fan cycle control, headmaster, is it a water cooled condenser? What type of refrigerant? Non condensables in the system. Mixed refrigerants. Refrigerant restriction. Many other things can be listed and it can be multiple issues at the same time. Way too many variables and this isnt a diy site. Sounds like its time to call in a pro and have it diagnosed and fixed properly before you hurt yourself or seriously damage your equipment.
