Actually in reading the article it says that if you have the gene and have alot of friends you are likely to be liberal in thought, so if by some genetic quirk you are missing this gene you would be conservative. But if you have the gene and no friends you would most likely be conservative. Sounds about right to me!

History without the liberal
Conservative caveman, living in his cave. In comes a liberal, "lets explore and build a purpose built dwelling, the right shape, warm, light". says the liberal.
The conservative twats the liberal on the head with his club, killing him out right.
So the conservative says, the cave was OK yesterday, so will be OK for tomorrow.
End of History!!!!!!!!!!!!
Liberals live in the present and dream of the future, conservatives live and dream in/of the past!
Can we change the past or can we change the future?
Thank god or evolution that at least some of us have the gene!!!!!

The liberal comes in and blows out the fire, replaces it with a CFL that gives off no heat. Then commences to replacing the freshly killed delicious deer with mushrooms and onion grass. Tells the caveowner he must give his neighbor half of his food because his neighbor can't kill any. Then takes half of his fire wood and gives it to his neighbor also. The caveowner wants to invent the wheel, but the liberal thinks it will destroy the planet and calls an end to progress and desires to live in his cave in order to save the planet. And dies old and bitter and alone.

Do not know what a CFL is!
The cave owner who wanted to invent the wheel would have been a liberal, as he was looking for change!
You are confusing liberal thought, with what you call liberal politics.
Your forefathers were liberals, they fought for change, freedom and betterment for all.
Time causes change, we therefore must change, there is a need for liberal thought.
The difference is you choose to be conservative, I Just Choose.

Yeah well lately we have been getting all the "change" we want, ' all the way to communism, destruction of our civilization and way of life thanks to the reds in power in the US.
Well barbar I've heard that you all in NZ have been getting your share of heinous crimes lately thanks to your all's "liberal" policy of open immigration from the 3rd world, to those who like to kill and rape. I'm sincerely sorry to hear about that. My condolences.
