Higher pressure = better atomization of the fuel and therefore better efficiency and lower emissions (typically).

a B10-5 section with net IBR of 108k btu's would be too large a boiler for this application, correct?
the 2 supply houses tell me the B10-4 wouldnt keep up, are they that desperate for $100 more?

No they're not looking for the $100, they don't want the "I'm cold" phone call. A larger boiler never guarantees that anyway.
I'd suggest rolling with the B-10/4, it's not about the $100
