Contrary to what the HealyNut says, you don't have to purchase authentic Trane parts directly from the Trane Co. Try Midwest Trane Parts. They consistently beat prices offered by the local Trane offices. We order from them all the time. Even with shipping costs, it's cheaper for us to purchase from them over the local Trane office (by a bunch).

That is just a Trane franchise. Parts are still from Trane. Prices depends on your companies mark up. If your company buys more parts from them then they give you a lower mark up.

Like FixIt said, Midwest Trane Parts is just another Trane dealer. Markup is a function of the quantity of business you do with them.

Trane parts are only available from Trane dealers or Trane themselves. We do a lot of Trane commercial. If there was a better source, I would know about it. We get a pretty good margin, but it still sucks.

Most all of the manufacturer's do not make there parts available outside of their supply chain. American Standard parts are available from wholesaler for their unitary lines (under a certain tonnage package and split) but chillers are not included in their unitary lines regardless of tonnage.

True Midwest Trane is a Trane franchise. Didn't say they weren't. What I did say is their parts pricing is better than we have ever received from Trane. To the OP I say call Trane with a part number and call Midwest and compare. Like the others said volume gets better pricing.
