I have no problem diversifying a large corporation to make it more efficient or for a policy reason eg: why are we making toasters when we are a plywood maker.
This guy and Carl Icon see an opportunity to make big bucks FOR THEMSELVES and very often they are the only beneficiary.

Both acts with the dog are heartless but the roof rack is worse. At least he could find someone to take care of the dog back home.
Money is CAPITAL, yes it is, but it takes a community to make it for you and to keep the country stable and if you are only focused on the money and not all the other things, including a social contract, you are not worth s**t in my book.

In that case, make all pensions transferable and give people a break on mortgages while they have to retrain at a new job.
And if not, do as some want and get rid of ALL government and see what real natural selection is all about. You won't like it. We have a bigger brain for a reason.....

Well, I think it's ok to point out the weaknesses of the system.
And, when you get right down to it, survival of the fittest is not very nice.
But it also occurs to me that communists and socialists make choices on that basis.
What's nice. Instead of what works."Social networking" is an oxymoron.

We are supposed to be smarter than the other animals and learn from our mistakes AND be more community oriented. Oddly enough, we humans are supposed to need each other, so they say...
That said, I believe we should no idolize and one system so if we see some weakness in the system, change it. Allow for capitalism to work the way most people think it should and so people can take advantage of it and not be shut out by the big boys.

Okay, you're speaking theoretically.
Theoretically, lots of things look good but don't work in practice...ie: communism.
Of all the systems man has come up with, I believe ours to be the best. It has its flaws no doubt...just like mankind.
As Robo has pointed out before, Capitalism can cleanse itself if allowed to...and as it was intended to do so."If anybody can draw on the power, where do we put the meter?" - JP Morgan before pulling Tesla funding

Correct.
However, it can also be said that the whole idea of socialism and communism (or the theory of it if you will) has a chilling effect on society. So, on paper some of it can sound good, but if you think about it a little bit its fatal flaws aren't hard to discover.
Man needs motivation to be the best. If he doesn't get it, then things even off from an intellectual standpoint. No one stands out, just a bunch of lemmings.
Without leaders, without example setters, without heroes, we are significantly weakened on many fronts."Social networking" is an oxymoron.
