Trane in El Paso has been asked to organize both in the HVACR & BAS sides. The Albuquerque Local agreement covers BAS, but the language is real raw. There's no amendment specyifing classifications or scale wages for BAS. The Local agents said Trane can place their BAS guys as Local Tradesmen, Servicemen or Journeymen. To me it sounds like a square peg trying to fit in a round hole.
Honeywell, Johnson Controls & Siemens all have BAS as a non-Union duty as per each of their MES National agreements.

might be on a "ready alert" deal for the BAS guys when their needed, otherwise they do service and breakdowns not going to be too happy being sent up a 28' ladders in the rain compared to be kicked back looking at a screen indoors.i've seen hvac guys go into BAS side and they forget real fast where they came from....compressor changes and condenser fan motors not happening...

Trane is owned by Ingersoll Rand, so you'd be a Trane employee.
As for them hiring, they are hiring in offices around the country, but not all offices. Just go on the IR website and look for listing in cities your interested in.
