    Lennox slp98v + xc14 or infinity ICS (96%) + 24abc6?

    Need assistance in determining which is better overall deal - I have competing offers at matching prices for the following:

    Lennox SLP98V furnace + xc14 a/c w/ icomfort 7000 t stat (15yrs parts labor warranty from dealer)

    or

    Carrier ICS(96%) 58MVC + 24ABC6 w/ Infinity t-stat (10 yr parts labor warranty)

    Undertstand one dealer warranty is better than other, but what about the systems?

    The Lennox furnace modulates where the Carrier is a 3 stage. Unless it is different with the 7000 stat, the Lennox will not modulate down when heat needs are less. That I don't like. Might ask the Carrier dealer about the new Carrier modulating furnace with the Infinity control. That would be a nice setup.
