    Any of you fellow techs know what tonnage a 890 goodman
    piston is rated at????? thank you!!!

    This is Turtle.

    a lot of 10 seer 5 ton and a few 4 ton 10 seer.

    a lot of 13 / 14 / 16 seer 3.5 and 4 ton condensers.

    Now you must be writting down wrong for it will be a .089" or piston size number 89. Now a 890 piston size , I can drive a 18 wheeler through a 890 piston size for it will have a 74 foot hole in it.

    .089 is used for 4-5 ton systems, depending on the outdoor unit.

    .068 would be for a 2.5 tonner.

    i think you two are right for they always put a 0 to start with when written on the piston the size it'self.
