    ground mount package

We re-ducted this unit a few years back, I need to get after pics. They put a start collar into the window opening and taped a filter to it. We poured a slab and cut in a return with filter grille and used rigid duct with 2" liner.

What? Kansas city? Nope Tucson Arizona. Both coils still there and working well, it's not in the city but a little outside, kind of a nicer, private area.

Does the supply go up to the roof and tap into where the old swamp cooler used to sit?
If more government is the answer, then it's a really stupid question.

Mark, Basically, the cooler sat on the angle iron stand in the corner of the picture, flex duct connected to swamp cooler duct that fed into the soffit. Up near the eaves, very close to the roof.

I guess they are considering that to be a portable unit.

Flex duct won't last a year outside here. The mylar jacket is quickly disinegrated. Legally the flex can't be installed outside, I've seen it fill with water on new construction before the roofing is done. I think the water permiates thru the jacket but not the core typically. I will drive by this house in the next couple of days to share the after pics. I've seen too many jobs flexed outside, it's sad. Can flex be installed outdoors in other parts of the country? I was in northern California last month and seen Flexable duct connections on a package unit and plastic fittings on the carflex. We must cover the flex connectors with metal to protect it from the sun here, and use metal carflex fitting or they turn black and brittle after just one summer, PVC must be painted aswell.

Who cares about the installation, I'm sure they got a good deal!
