    CRAC Mfg?

Looking to replace three Liebert 15-ton CRAC units (data center room air conditioners), DX downflow into raised floor. Other than Liebert, who else makes these things?

    Trane, McQuay, Data-air...
If you have a building automation system in place, please consider ordering your replacement units "Bare Bones" with just a terminal strip, and having your controls vendor install a controller to run them. This allows yo much better control of the units, more operating info, you can get custom sequences (think air side economizer!) and you can coordinate unit operation. All of these things contribute to better energy efficiency.

And if at all possible, get an air side economizer! Just remember that if they have their own controller, they likely won't coordinate nearly as well as they could with custom sequences from your control vendor.

Stulz is the way to go.
    Units are efficient and reliable.

Why do you want to get away from Liebert? I have had some dealings with Stulz, Compu-Aire, Data Air, APC, and Liebert. In my opinion Liebert is the most reliable unit.

    Schneider Electric. (APC)
The best in my opinion, but I may be a bit biased.

Stay with Liebert, the added cost is there for a reason in my opinion. No comment on Stulz due to prior experience.

Data air. Lieberts are over priced and the 30 ton units have carlyse semi hermetics. Nothing wrong when that typically but having a couple of server farms to babysit for the last 3 years has turned me against that brand.

Their on sight facillities wash coils and adjust setpoints at their conveinence usually resulting in high load and high head and those comps cant take it.

Not too mention the occasional fire panel issues that knock down every unit and by the time uts remedued they've lost multiple compressors because they're running with 95 degree return
Shutting down servers isnt an option.

Ive fot another data center fulled with data airs which use scrolls and they neglect their condensors and general pms.

I rarely lose compressors on a data air.

I used to. They're overpriced. If they would yank the recips out of the 30s and replace with Copeland scrolls I might change my mind.
