Carrier help
Hi can any one of you hvac experts help the previous poster Waterside & I? I am looking at the same thing an Infinity furnace was looking at Lennox before but am now leaning toward Carrier - can you tell me if you feel Carrier heat pumps or ac's are any of them quiet at all? Can you tell me in your experience the quieter ones? I can't afford the Greenspeed one though.

Bryant evolution/ Carrier infinity, super quiet. Get a compressor blanket and the only way you'll know it's running is by the fan spinning!

Thanks but I wanted to ask 'Waterside' which Carrier models he had gotten on last thread any way I can do that?

OK I'm sorry - I understand now how it works. Thanks. I would like to know if anyone can tell me much about the difference between like 15 seer & 19 seer Carrier heat pumps or a/c's quiet-wise other then the Greenspeed one which I can't afford. It seems like the one stage ones are rated quieter then the 2 stage ones?

Thank you so much for your reply Waterside I actually may have to get the heat pump version to get a Canadian energy grant to offset costs - it runs out soon & I have to decide by tonight and only heat pumps qualify not a/c - I am also looking at pairing it with the Infinity 96 furnace the 2 stage one - I noticed for some reason the 1 stage heat pumps or a/c's seem to rate a slightly lower decibel rating then the 2 speeds don't know why. Also re the installation outside of the a/c or heat pump any valuable tips you learned?
