KILTZING
I heard this term yesterday for the very first time and, although I don't know everything, I have been in the HVAC industry since the early 1980s.
Supposedly, it's a process to prepare paint grip spiral pipe for painting. Has anyone heard this term before? What does it involve?
Thanks

Do you mean Kilz, like the primer?
Ive never painted any ductwork but my understanding is that they etch it with a mild acid. Someone told me they use vinegar?

Hmm...tartan ductwork?...sounds a little weird to me.

It could have been kilz, I guess. I didn't see it written, only talked about, so my spelling was probably wrong.
Thanks
