that's just sad, at least they didn't tell you it was a permanent filter.

LOL "What filter?" So sad that many people unknowingly kill their HVAC system because they don't know that it requires maintenance. tisk tisk

i had one like that, the home owner started to get mad at me cause he thought i brought my dog in his house. told him i dont own a dog and that was from cleaning the blower on his furnace.

suprising, he was embarassed after that.

You should have told him to have his wife shave more often.

I've always been amazed at how many people don't know even if they have a gas furnace, heat pump, electric furnace, ..."I just turn it up here, with this switch" ...??
    Talk about clueless....

that looks like an easier blower wheel to clean. should come off as one piece

"oh i have a self cleaning filter."

"really? can i see what you're talking about"

"i take it out and flip it over and its clean in a day or so"

I think someone on here told that joke once

One of the retail centers we manage has a guy that is supposed to do small stuff like change light bulbs, filters, etc. I have yet to see one changed, we are constantly getting calls about no heat because filters are non existant, or completely covered... boss doesn't want to hear it though
