    100k furnace with zoning...

    (3) zones, each like this. GC does his own mechanical...not very well. The whole job has to go away except for the power, gas line and stat/wire.

    UNBELIEVABLE!

    At least they only had to use one damper for that zone.

    How many cfm can you force through one 6" zone damper????

    Funny thing is, original call was from the wife looking for a free opinion. "Uh, it's 100 bucks to come out and get to the bottom of things". She hedged and I asked what's going on with the 3 y/o system knowing they had design problems.

    After her explanation of symptoms, I told that I could offer a free opinion right over the phone " you don't need free or cheap, you need good and correct". She hedged again and wanted to run it by her husband, he called 5 minutes later to book the visit.
