Looking to stock refrigeration parts

I run a HVAC/R supply house and want to increase my inventory with the right refrigeration parts. I have access to all of the major brands, i.e. Ranco, Johnson Controls, etc. I want to make sure that I have the right parts in stock for most service calls for my customers. Can anyone supply me with a list of the most common parts that are used for refrigeration? Maybe your truck stock list? Manufacturer brand and model numbers will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I would suggest asking this question to your customers. It would seem to me that the key is to stock what YOUR CUSTOMER needs, not random refer parts.

That Paragon 8245-20 must be a typo. Did you mean 8145-20?

Thanks. Your list helps me a lot. I can't necessarily ask my customers because I'll lose the illusion of knowing what I'm talking about. I just want to have the items that they ask for on my shelves.

Keep a list of what you have to order in or what a customer calls and requests.

I'll make a few other suggestions.

Buy a Sporlan Q and BQ case. This will allow you to build a wide variety of TXVs at a moment's notice.

Stock a variety of refrigerants. Refrigeration work takes more than green and pink cans.

I usually keep at least 2 of those Acme 100 motor kits in my truck. Little things like acid tests and acid scavenger for POE. Refrigeration stems (i call 'em pigtails, i dont know what you guys call em).

Do you stock any parts for ice machines? If so, which brands? I think we can definitely give you a good list for those.

I'm currently stocking R134a, R404A, R22, R410A & Hot Shot. If I were two bring in one or two more refrigerants, what would the next most common ones be?

The problem is that none of my predecessors have ever ventured outside of selling equipment from the single brand that we sell. This has made us non-existent for 90% of our market. I've been able to grow most other areas of the business in the last year and now I want to become established for the reefer guys. There's less competition in this area than the HVAC side of the business.
