Thread: Son of Hibachi!

Ya ever use a Son of Hibachi grille? Thats what I learned to BBQ on camping with Dad. Now I want one for MY camper. They light fast because they fold up to make a chimney, and they're big enough without wasting alot of storage space when not in use.

Damn things are like $60.00-$80.00 off e-bay and not in any local stores, but I think I need one........

Looks pretty cool. Reminds of the little Coleman camping stove we had with the screw-on LP bottle.

When I'm not cooking over the fire I have one of these stashed in the camper.

That's what the AAA man used to chock Robo's tires when he was changing the flat tire on the road next to the national forest.

05-14-2006, 10:26 AM #10It has been a few years, but I used to do low impact camping with advanced Scouts. It really is fun to make nearly modern appliances from stuff you scrounge up off of the ground in the woods.Originally posted by stephy

Same guy, same price as the ones on e-bay. Must be the mfgr has taken the shop to his home after the big market push in the early 80's. I still remember the TV commercials. My doctor gave me six months to live, but when I couldn't pay the bill he gave me six months more.
