    Yea, that's where the wire comes out of the wall. Could have easily been raised.

    What is the code min above ground for disconnect? Is there a water issue or is snow that high in winter? Why the unit raised, don't do that in SC. Where is the required 120V outlet? You do upgrade to code on installs don't you.

    It is for drainage.When a heatpump goes into defrost it will melt off any frozen moisture on the coil.It runs in the winter below freezing temps if not raised it could dam ice up & block the coils.

    Baldloonie: How did you move the unit that required those blocks on the ground? These new larger units are going to screw up things for guys that work alone, or have limited space in their trucks. Did one last week that I had to get behind the building and the ground was very uneven, man did that suck. Well anyway you did well, keep up the good work.

    Yea, he had those stones in front of his last unit so I would expect them to stay!
