"Dude, you need more than 2 wires to a condenser to run a 2 stage heatpump."

See I could be real nasty right now but I have learned the errors of my ways. Goodman is not that bad of a product anymore compared to early and mid ninetys. Remember the condensers that notoriously had leaks because of shaffing?

I was not there to fix this one. I was working on another unit on the other side of the building. When it came on I heard it. When I get more time I will try to find out who owns that unit and see if they want me to check it out. For now all I can blame it on is Goodman.

Blame it on the installer or last technician.

Why blame it on Goodman when it has a Copeland, which is about in every manufacture except for a select few.

The main problem with Goodman's are the install crew.

Put a sound blanket on it.
Not as lean, not as mean, but I'm still a hardcore, ass-kicking, hard charging Marine! Oohrah!

Sounds like a Copeland scroll that has had liquid refrigerant washing the oil off the bearings for to long.
Cuz you know, scrolls are ok with liquid refrigerant flooding back to them, cuz they don't have valves to bust.

All brands these days suck......... The equipment is only as good as the installation and how well it is maintained....

I installed a Goodman in my home 8 years ago.... Static pressures, return air size and supply ducting is to the book.... Have not had ANY problems in over 8 years aside from blowing out the drain line and changing the filter....

I will blame the installation on this one...
    It's all about heat transfer...
