    I'm with Hearthman. The thread as expired. Now we are just nit picking cause we are all morally inclined to feel the work should be done right by our individual standards.

    I agree! there are no perfect a/c techs, just like there is no perfect equipment. I would agree there are some a/c techs that are a legend in their own mind.

    You know one something I must say! It is mostly resi guys who talk this purge to death! Commercial piping is done by fitters,and I have never seen them purge.And I talking big tubing with long runs, been on jobs with more than 10 fitters at a time.Jobs with tons of splits.I did the start ups,was there for the year,and got many as long tine customers.I can not trace any problems due to non purge!
