Where do I begin to tell the story of a .... Some things you wish you hadn't seen. Looking at that makes me think they didn't care what you had to say about it.

It`s better to be silent and thought the fool; than speak and remove all doubt.

This was my first thought. Blocking the hood actually made it safer. Plenty of other problems though.

    Cool

Aside from not being secured to the draft hood and not having the listed firestop, the B-vent was installed upside down.

Unfortunately, I find abortions like this all too often.

How's this one? Hot water pressure was very low, two 40 gal gas fired water heaters run in series, the outlet from heater 1 to heater two had deposit about 1/4" thick, both thermostats nearly maximum. Cleared debris by using CLR to dissolve, then set heater 1 at 110F output and heater 2 at 140, everything is fine now...

I keep a red tag sticking out of the front pocket of my coveralls. Seems to keep me from seeing chit like this. I call it "open carry".
