air cooled one on the compressor discharge one on the evaporator...water cooled one on the condenser/one on the evap.remeber Tranes RTAAs when they first came out???had them on the first bend of the discharge off the compressor and they started to crack...Trane relocated them to the actual service valve bolt up flange.....poor guy must of been one of those 5000 CT state workers that got "layed off"
last year.trane semi-hermetics had them internally rumor had it ....never saw one but heard them....
