The company I work for has a page in the employee handbook about side work. It just says that it is understandable that neighbors and relatives will need help inevitably and ask you to work on their unit and you may need to work on your own unit. However only tools/equipment should be used to work side jobs if any are done at all. The liability of having a vehicle seen in front of homes increases the potential of lawsuits if something goes wrong so they are just trying to protect themselves which is understandable. Your contract is way too scary for anyone to sign.
