    Short skirts happened because of WW2. There was a shortage of material which caused a fashion change.

    Bobby socks were created because of the shortage of nylons.

    So were wristwatches. Soldiers didn't like the bulky pocket watches so they sewed them on leather wrist bands.

    Hotpants in my closet? How did you know? Wish I still had the buxom blonde who squeezed into them.

    The Leisure suit? Goodwill. Somewhere there is a person walking around wearing a Robin's egg blue suit with a silk shirt imprinted with sailboats and a pair of blue seude platform heel shoes.


    Ascots? Didn't have any money left after buying the suit and shoes. Thank Zeus for small favors.
