    Question What system is best?

    Hello Guys,

I am in the process of purchasing a 1900 square ft. split level home. It consists of the living room, dining room, kitchen, family room, three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and a garage. The home is a foreclosed home which has not been lived in for a few years. It needs some repairs but I am currently looking to repair the heating and air conditioning in the home. It has a large Miracle Iron Heating Unit 185,00 BTU Model LBG 85-2, a Sears Super Furnace Humidifier 120vac 1amp 60hz, a Honeywell Electronic Air Cleaner, and a Bradford White Water Heater 40,000 BTU 50 gal. If I replace the system, what should I replace it to. I had one company come out and give me an estimate and have several other companies coming out but how do I know that what they suggest I put in the home is actually worth it? I've looked at the Goodman, Maytag, Whirlpool, Coleman, and Trane websites and don't know what I should go with. Thanks.

talk to your neighbors and friends and see who they recommend the quality of the contractor and install job is just as important as the equipment that you use.
