trane rtaa slidevalve
while i have read this forum for years I have never actually talked to any of you, still thanks for all your insight. A few months ago I read a link about slidevalves on rtaa sticking, thus causing a high current overload on startup. has anyone ran into this before and if so what was the fix.

Have you checked everything? It could be a bad unload solenoid, a leaking lip seal, a leaking load solenoid, or a stuck piston. So have you verified that it is a stuck piston.

Nique, welcom to the forum!
This subject has been talked about numerous times so I don't think a new thread needs to be started. Just search "RTAA slide valve problems" or "RTAA oil flow problems" and you'll get all the info you need.

wow do I sense some frustration, so I spent a couple of hours searching and found all the info I needed plus some. I will be replacing the "puck" in the next couple of days. So thanks for getting me on the right track.
