From a Trane comfort specialist, check your phone book. Make sure you have him install it.

There were serious availability problems with them, I think partly due to having to make some changes to get the UL listing or something.

Havn't installed but 2 so far, but people sure do ask about them a lot, so I anticipate them being a very hot item.

Suposedly Trane is gona have a thermostat that has an indicator on it for the Clean Effects. The clean effects air cleaner is suposed to be able to send a signal to it when its time for cleaning the collection cells.

The front panel where the electronics are was redesigned to make it easier to get off and on. Then, all the retesting and UL approval slowed down the release of the improved model.

I just had a Bryant Evolution system installed and I know as far as competing products with the Clean Effects, Bryant is rolling out the PerfectAir Purifier.

At least the company that I had do the installation said supply for the PerfectAir here in Indianapolis, IN is almost non-existant right now. They think it will be another 1-3 months before they can get their hands on one.

As far as the control piece, the Evolution Stat is supposed to be able to relay a message indicating when the filter needs to be replaced or there is a problem.
