Good article, THX for posting it.

Seems, as usual; The liberal who thought (as the article pointed out incorrectly) that blue state folks were smarter than red state folks... was not being statistically honest.

Funny how if one looks at the

    FACTS

Whoops, there is that horrible problem of facts again,

They find what the REAL TRUTH is.

Now lets do a different survey: Lets see how many of the liberal DEMS support their positions with lots of documentable facts (vs with sound-bytes and feelings oriented phrases)... and how many of the GOP dudes and dudettes support their positions with enough documentable factual material to make most folks heads hurt.

Anyone care to answer that question; who supports themselves with the facts more?

    Dems have plenty of facts.

    Unfortunately they apply them incorrectly.

Some friends of mine went to class at a community college that was taught by a militant liberal. She informed the class that they would be required to write papers supporting her political views. (It was an English class, had nothing to do with polsci in any case.) She also dared the class to try and do anything about it. She said that she was tenured and that the department was behind her.

First thing out of his mouth was the same fear/war mongering attitude that drove me from the Republican party!
Can't we be fiscally conservative without the Hitler speaches?
Oh wait, yes we can, that's why I back the libertarian party

I'd hate to be her mechanic. She seems like the kind of person who finds being indignant a goal, rather than something to pass through as quickly as possible. If I told her she needed a new vacuum line, she'd probably claim it was an elitist conspiracy.

Funny how many liberals that voted for obama are calling themselves libertarians now....hoping that this will wash the dirt of their hands after voting twice for the worst president in recorded history.

Liberals are, IMO, really activist types that do not understand WHY the founders wrote the founding documents the way they did.
If they would shut their mouths, humble themselves, and listen with an open mind... they would see the founders had FREE CITIZENS as their goal.
OTOH: some libbies think control (that is, being part of the controllers) is the goal.

MeThinks we are witnessing what Winston Chruchill said: "If you are not a liberal when you are young, you have no heart: Yet if you do not grow to become a conservative, you have no brains."
Back in the 1960's drug culture... those very liberals are now running corporations.
And today we see the very folks who supported liberalism... switching to libertarian (which is really conservative).

Funny how those wise men of yester-year are smarter than the so called smart (smart @$$) folks today.

Is this a shot at me cool?
    I never voted for bammer!
This year my vote goes to Rand paul (I would love to see a libertarian as VP)
To me, the libertarians seem to be the less "bought and paid for" political party out there.
I see no difference between the left and right at this point. Take away the stupid petty arguments (religion, gay rights, abortion, all of which are emotionally motivated and have no place in politics) and they're no different!

Not at all my friend....just a general observation, local in fact. I belong to a club that rides and restores vintage vespas and lambretta scooters from the 50's and 60's.
Every Wednesday night, we have wrench night. The club is saturated with liberals as MI is a blue state. All of them voted for obama and would defend him to the point of outrage when he first ran for office. Now most of them are claiming to be libertarians and never talk about their king anymore.
There is one idiot in particular that annoys the hell out of me. He is a union electrician that only works 1 week/year for the auto show. His wages for the rest of the year come from a job bank.
This idiot loves obama and proclaims how proud he is to be a socialist.... he is looking forward to Hillary's election.

Basically, he is a walking septic tank.

The parties left or right will not change until the corrupt system is changed and the checks and balances are enforced. Everything is now controlled by wealthy elitists including the federal government, banking, media, education etc.

It needs to be torn down and rebuilt with the patriotism our founding fathers had in mind. This will take a revolution as those that hold the reigns of power will not go willingly.

A book that really opened my eyeballs is The Creature from Jekyll Island by G. Edward Griffon, published in 94. My Dad read this, and gave it to me to read when it came out. This should be required reading in every high school government class IMO.

After reading this, all you have to do is more research on the names and so much is revealed when you follow the money and ancestry throughout history.

This will probably be one of my very blunt comments:

Anyone who has read 'The Creature from Jekyll Island'... and still trusts ANY form of govt... is IMO either a moron, or on the dole (dole being many things from welfare to lobbying).

There is just no other logical explanation.
