1-Lennox 2-Daiken 3-Bryant/carrier 4 climatemaster (geo). But that’s just who I work for lol. If I had ANY say in it we would ban Daiken from the roster. Too many stupid manufacturing quirks😵

I think we can determine by this thread that every brand is good for someone. Since there is truly very little difference between comparable efficiency systems and all of the equipment use the same basic parts, the biggest difference between brands is the way the cabinetry is put together, ease of installation, ease of troubleshooting and technical support from the distributor of the brand.

Does anyone use America Standard equipment in Illinois? I have the understanding you have to be a dealer of trane to buy them even. I’d like to find out from someone if they have Illinois dealership and how they did it.

Just remember, no matter what brand of equipment we prefer to install, we still need to work on all brands. When I do training programs, I try to make sure I cover all of the idiosyncrasies that may come up with certain brands. Mostly, I find that the main differences between equipment is the way the manufacturer's write their manuals. It's all based on the same technology and for the most part, they are all using similar if not exactly the same components.

The consulting/training company I have been helping get started and will be working with HVAQ, LLC The website that is under construction is hvaqllc.com and the Facebook page is HVAQ For HVAC, IAQ and You Let me know if you have any suggestions for us. HVAQ, LLC will be officially launching in October.

How is the technical support and training by each of these manufacture's or distributors? I know that Carrier owned distribution goes through Carrier technical support which has a charge related to it. How is Rheem and Goodman for general technical training and technical support?

Rheem Ruud, most of the training costs, but tech support starts at the distributor level, But no matter how extensive the tech support, I’ve never had a cost associated with it

Carrier exclusively my grandpa carried them from 1952-2016 then I've done the same since. I have however taken a recent liking to trane. I do feel however that especially now day's most brands all use the same component manufactuer's (copeland, Ge, genteq etc shoved into different colored boxes at different price points. So at the end of the day unless you are buying the high end stuff then it's all the same at the end of the day. It boils down to install quality and proper service.

I very much agree. If you have a great association with a particular brand through that brand's distributorship, it has to be the best brand "for your company".
