electronic ignition valve issues
I have been running across a lot of issues with the ignition system on the Peterson G10 24/30 01V system. Has anyone else seen lots of issues with that Mertec electronic ignition system? I have probably swapped out 15 this season.
Common sense is NOT common !!!

Rob, can you identify which valve/ remote combo you are referring to?
See attached Maxitrol catalogue.Keep the fire inside the fireplace.

Thanks for the reply HM. It uses the GV 60 valve and the #3 remote with timer and temperature.
One of the fireshops that I do service and troubleshooting for has had close to 20 come back and Peterson says we are the only ones with problems!Common sense is NOT common !!!

I have had to only replace one, and i service a fairly large area. the problem i had was a weak transmitter, you had to be 3 inches away to get it to respond(with new batteries ofc). the only thing i have noticed is they use a lot of batteries.
